Terms and Conditions for Buying
1. All
Registrations are sold subject to availability and although Global
Registrations check the availability of every registration before
advertising, they cannot accept any responsibility should the donor of the
registration change his mind in respect of selling, no longer have the
rights to the registration or in the unlikely event of failure of the
transfer at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency.
2. In
the event of the transfer not being effected for any reason whatsoever no
liability will attach to Global Registrations other than the refund of the
purchase monies received. Any
costs or commitments incurred by the purchaser prior to completion of the
Transfer are entirely at the purchaser’s own risk.
3. Any
deposit taken on a Registration Number is non-returnable and a Registration
will be held for 4 weeks exactly from the date of the deposit being taken,
pending receipt of the balance of monies and the documentation required to
complete the Transfer. If full payment is made initially the Registration Number
will be held for up to 4 weeks pending receipt of all documentation required
to complete the transfer. If
all documentation is not received Global Registrations reserve the right to
place the Registration Number onto a retention certificate and recover any
costs from the purchaser. Any
deposit will be kept by Global Registrations to cover administration
expenses. In addition, we
reserve the right to recover any loss of profit suffered in the sale of the
right to a Registration Number subject to our duty to mitigate the loss.
We also reserve the right to seek performance of the contract.
4. If
the purchaser fails to supply all documentation within 8 weeks from the date
of the initial order being placed, Global Registrations reserve the right to
supply the purchaser with a Certificate of Entitlement bearing the
Registration Number. It will
then be the purchaser’s responsibility to transfer the Registration Number
to a vehicle before the Certificate expires, whatever the date of expiry may
be. The purchaser will only be
the nominee, so they will not be able to extend the certificate, apply for a
duplicate or change the nominee name.
5. Once
a Transfer has been authorised at D.V.L.A. Swansea all liabilities will be
rescinded by Global Registrations.
6. It
is illegal to display any new Registration Number before the transfer is
fully complete.
7. In
the event that we are unable to effect a transfer within 12 weeks from
receipt the purchaser’s complete documents, and provided the purchaser is
not responsible in any way whatsoever for the failure, we will refund all
payments in full.
8. Recorded
delivery postage is recommended when posting documentation to us.
9. Any
costs you incur as a direct or indirect result of a transfer are your sole
responsibility. We shall not be
liable for delay in the process howsoever caused or for the failure of the
transfer except as otherwise specified within these terms & conditions.
10. Under The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 when you signify your request to order a Registration Number the service we provide begins and subsequently there is no "Cooling Off Period". The transaction cannot be cancelled and no refund can be given.
11. It is the
intention of Global Registrations that all terms of a contract between the
Purchaser and ourselves are contained in this document and have been made
known to the Purchaser, in full, before formation of the contract.
